On Saturday I attended the local Stampede and got some very fun images!
The Mountain Race is always my favourite: cowboys and their horses race down the mountain side, around a switchback and then down another embankment and onto the track where they finish the race in front of the grandstand. This year there were eight entries which is twice as many as usual, which makes it twice as dangerous, but everyone came out of the race well!
Here is a great series from the Steer Wrestling. Poor Willee did not have good luck on Saturday, but the images sure were fun!
And how about the Wild Horse Race where cowboys have to rope, saddle, and ride a wild horse!
Everyone’s favourite event is the Bull Riding, and with me it’s no exception. My favourite part of the ride is the dismount, or the one final buck when the cowboy comes off….hehehe!

Great photos Robyn, I can see I missed some great rodeo action. Love the Mountain Race photos!! (I´m a bit biased, my uncles ride in that event) The series with Willee is fun too 🙂
